ML&L - Welcome in May.Life. How did you get into singing and when did you realize that’s what you wanted to do? How did you get started with idea of Band?

Isabell Heck - I started when I was 10 years old and had a guitar with only 3 strings. When I was older, we formed a punk-rock band with my friends from Stara Lubovna. And I was a drummer and a singer at once so it was really difficult. No Brake was formed accidentally in 2009 and I really enjoyed playing guitar and singing there. It was fun and a big relief for me. Our band formed in August 2013. I sought via Facebook a guitarist for singing to accompany on festivities. Ralph Fiegas from Nordheim vd Rhön registered on it. We together played a few gigs until Tino Scheuering from Helheim at the Cajon brought some rhythm with it. Shortly thereafter, I still picked Robert Brown from Zeilitzheim on guitar and vocals still with the Bott to get an even bridge fächerteres program. After about a year came Lorena Dereser from Schweinfurt to help out in some gigs. We all musicians have long-standing experience and come from different corners of the music.


ML&L - Is there a story behind your music?

Ralph Fiegas - The basic idea was as much as possible to achieve with as little effort as possible. And we have this great musicians who make it happen. Each of us has a story about how he came to the music, which are great and are beyond the scope. Eventually we tell you our stories.


ML&L - Why you called your group "So IZZY"?

Isabell Heck - So Izzy is a play on words from Isi (Isabell) and easy.


ML&L - What do you like the most about what you do?

Ralph Fiegas Band for festivities like us primarily the simplicity with which we present ourselves. Our equipment fits in a combination together with the full band. We can write ourselves own songs without the ulterior motive and play complete set. We wrote also songs about Freedom that we cannot play live in the form. But just to sell online. In addition, it's refreshing to play with such different people as different ages. We inspire each other and keep all fresh.

ML&L - Describe what you've accomplished toward reaching a goal for band?

Robert Braun - We play for the second year already 35 gigs. We have stood with Michael Hirte on stage and provided a benefit concert on the legs to even the renowned opera singer Frederike Meinel came from Berlin as a guest. We got in December 2014 German rock and pop rice in the categories Best Folk Rock Band, Best Folk Rock Singer, Best Country & Folk Band and Best R & B singer. And we got an interview in regional television.


ML&L - Who are your role models and why?

Tino Scheuering - As a band together, we have no specific examples. Each of us has his certainly. But there are so many great musicians that the list would be endless here.


ML&L - What inspires you? Where do you get your ideas from?

Isabell Heck - We inspire each other. Sometimes it all gets a little too much, so we did not move from the spot out of sheer ideas. Even our audience what we play for. Tino and Ralph often say that hardly anyone knows the song in our age that attach the girls. They benefit from the experience of the old-timers.
